Role: Lead Illustrator, Creative Direction
Scope: Hand drawn illustration, packaging design, brand visual system
I recently completed a packaging revamp for 83 Islands, creating a series of illustrated tropical worlds designed specifically for their bottle and pack formats.
The work focuses on building a rich visual universe around the brand, drawing from place, landscape, and storytelling. Every illustration is drawn by hand by me, then refined digitally for print production. No AI. Fully human made.
The illustrations are designed to work as a complete system across bottles, cartons, and future merchandise, allowing the brand to expand visually while staying cohesive on shelf. The goal is packaging that feels collectible, tactile, and rooted in the Pacific.
What I’m sharing here is a behind the scenes look at the illustration process. The final packaging is currently in production and will be released soon. Looking forward to sharing the finished bottles when they land.
This kind of illustrative packaging work also translates directly into apparel, merch, and brand assets for spirit brands wanting more than surface level graphics.
